Egyptian education technology company 3C Coding School has closed a seed funding round of $3 million. The investment was led by MRG Economic Group, headed by Mahmoud Ramadan, with participation from businessman Amr Saad and several angel investors. The company plans to use the capital to support regional expansion, strengthen its technology infrastructure, and build a more personalized learning experience.

Funding details and company background

Founded in 2015 by engineers Hossam Hosny and Ahmed Khallaf, 3C Coding School specializes in teaching coding, technology, and artificial intelligence to children and youth. Its program portfolio includes web and mobile development, data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, game development, and cybersecurity. The company has reached more than 120,000 students and recorded revenue growth of 230 percent.

The seed round was structured as a direct equity investment. It was led by MRG Economic Group under the leadership of Egyptian businessman Mahmoud Ramadan. Alongside Amr Saad and a group of angel investors, the funding marks a notable step in the company's transition from a local education provider to a scalable regional platform.

Saudi expansion and strategic priorities

A significant portion of the new funding will be directed toward entering the Saudi market. The company aims to build a local presence through education programs suited to the Kingdom's needs and through strategic partnerships. This move is intended to help 3C expand its student and customer base beyond Egypt.

Saudi Arabia has become a priority due to rising demand for coding, artificial intelligence, and digital skills. The company views the Saudi education technology sector as a high growth opportunity. Regional expansion forms part of a broader strategy to operate across multiple markets in the coming phase rather than relying mainly on Egypt.

AI-powered learning platform

Part of the investment will be used to accelerate development of an AI-powered learning platform. The platform is expected to analyze student learning patterns, assess progress, support teachers, and adapt educational content to individual ability levels. This approach aims to deliver a more customized learning experience at scale for students across different markets.

The company sees this as a shift from conventional online education toward a technology-driven model. By investing in artificial intelligence, 3C hopes to serve larger numbers of students while maintaining tailored instruction. The platform is central to its goal of becoming a leading technology education provider in the region over time.

Growth indicators and outlook

The company's current performance indicators point to strong momentum in the regional education technology market. More than 120,000 students have already benefited from its programs, while revenue has grown by 230 percent, reflecting increasing demand for specialized instruction. These figures highlight the growing appetite among young learners and families for coding, artificial intelligence, and technology education.

The founders described the investment as a turning point rather than a simple capital raise. They emphasized that the partnership brings expertise, relationships, and support for the next phase of growth. The ultimate goal is to reach millions of children and young people and help them become creators of technology rather than passive users.

With new capital, a clear Saudi market entry plan, and an AI-focused product roadmap, 3C Coding School is positioning itself for wider regional influence. The company's ability to convert its existing growth into scalable operations will be a key factor in its next stage. The announcement reflects the continued expansion of Egyptian education technology companies into Gulf markets.
