The Y’ellopreneur initiative is designed to contribute to the reduction of female unemployment and advance women's development in entrepreneurship through targeted capacity building and access to capital. In its initial two phases, the program trained a total of 5,754 female entrepreneurs in essential skills, with 122 of these participants receiving equipment loans amounting to over N301 million. The third phase marks a significant expansion, with the MTN Foundation collaborating with the Bank of Industry Limited to implement a Matching Fund Model valued at N1 Billion.
Phase 3 Program Framework
• Online Entrepreneurial Skills Training: A four-week online training program for 1,000 female entrepreneurs, administered by the Enterprise Development Centre of the Pan-Atlantic University.
• Business Plan Development: Participants will engage in the development and presentation of bankable business plans.
• Pitching Session: A hybrid pitch session will be held for shortlisted businesses deemed viable for funding.
• Equipment Loan Support: Up to N5 million in equipment loan support will be provided to each of 200 selected female entrepreneurs.
• Advisory Services: Ongoing business advisory support services will be offered to ensure long-term sustainability.
• Program Oversight: The phase will include comprehensive monitoring and evaluation activities.
