The Flämingo Accelerator is an equity-free program based in Brandenburg, designed to support startups at the critical stage between achieving early market traction and preparing for scalable expansion. The program focuses on fostering commercial, operational, and personal growth through a combination of deep industry expertise, extensive networks, founder-centric development, and an immersive residency experience. Conducted in English, the accelerator is tailored for startups aiming for conscious, structural, and long-term growth within the Brandenburg ecosystem, located just one hour from Berlin.


Program Structure and Timeline

• Format: A 1-month on-site residency combined with a 6-month hybrid growth program.
• Schedule: The program offers a flexible, founder-friendly schedule with three on-site phases, regular 1:1 online meetings with cluster experts, monthly peer group check-ins, and additional online masterclasses.
• Virtual Kick-Off: May 2026
• Founders Retreat: June 2-5, 2026
• Founder Onsite: September 10-11, 2026
• Closing Week: December 3-4, 2026
• Residency Period: A 1-month residency is offered in August/September 2026 for up to 6-9 selected startups, with two optional slots: August 10 – September 9, 2026, or September 12 – October 12, 2026.

• Mobility, Transport & Logistics: DB mindbox provides connections to Germany’s largest transport networks and testing fields.
• Creative Industries (including Media & ICT): Media Deals offers access to funding strategies, investors, and cross-sector opportunities.
• Health: Fraunhofer IZI-BB and Fraunhofer ZDD connect startups with scientific expertise, laboratory infrastructure, and real-world validation environments.

• Accommodation: 1-month stay at the hub with vegetarian full-board, plus unlimited organic fair trade coffee, tea, and snacks.

• Environment: Co-living with fellow founders, deep work sessions, reflection time, and opportunities to explore the rural surroundings.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The program is designed for startups positioned between validated market entry and scalable growth. Ideal candidates typically meet the following descriptions:
• Have built an MVP or launched their product.
• Possess initial customers, pilots, or existing use cases.
• Are in the process of preparing a structured go-to-market strategy.
• Recognize that partnerships and sales are becoming critical for growth.
• Are committed to scaling their operations on strong, sustainable foundations.

Eligibility Criteria

• Company Age: Founded within the last 5 years.
• Industry Alignment: Operating in one of the specified clusters (Mobility, Transport & Logistics; Creative Industries incl. Media and ICT; Health).
• Location: Already registered in Brandenburg or willing to register a business or branch in Brandenburg, Germany. Support for location and registration is provided.
• Commitment: Founders must be committed to active program participation and ready to intentionally use this phase to grow their company and leadership skills.
