The Hackathon on Code Optimisation for heterogeneous HPC environments is a hands-on, collaborative initiative designed for developers, researchers, and HPC users. The event focuses on improving application performance across modern heterogeneous architectures. Participants will have the opportunity to work on real optimisation challenges, explore advanced techniques for CPUs, GPUs, and accelerators, and exchange expertise with peers from the European HPC community.

Keynote Speakers

• Bernardo Malaca: Holding a PhD in Physics Engineering, Bernardo has over four years of experience in high-performance computing (HPC) user support. He currently works with the Deucalion supercomputer and offers technical support at the BSC AI Factory, guiding small and medium-scale companies in AI adoption.
• Ziyad AlBanoby: A specialist in CUDA software optimization and porting, Ziyad earned his degree in Computer and Communications Engineering from Alexandria University. After two years at Brightskies Inc., he joined the High-Level Support team in 2024, focusing on algorithms on GPU.
