Singapore-based Zeya Health has raised US$575,000 in pre-seed funding to tackle administrative inefficiencies in Asia-Pacific clinics. Led by Antler and supported by angel investors, the round follows a 20-fold increase in clinic adoption since August. The funding comes as rising patient volumes and staff shortages strain healthcare operations across the region.

Bridging the Operational Gap in Healthcare

Zeya Health addresses this specific gap by focusing on the operational layer of healthcare facilities rather than direct clinical decision-making. Their primary product is an AI-native front desk that integrates seamlessly with existing electronic medical records and communication channels like WhatsApp. The system operates continuously to automate routine tasks such as appointment scheduling, follow-ups, and patient engagement without requiring the replacement of core legacy systems.

Clinics using the platform can often go live in less than 48 hours because the AI scans and maps existing workflows automatically. This rapid deployment allows medical providers to adopt high-level automation without the need for manual rule-setting or learning new software logins. By prioritizing integration over total system replacement, the company effectively reduces the friction typically associated with adopting new technology in critical care environments.

Accelerating Market Traction and Strategic Growth

Since its inception, Zeya Health has maintained approximately 100% month-on-month growth while expanding its footprint across diverse medical practices. The company is now moving beyond individual clinics to standardize administrative workflows for large-scale healthcare organizations. For example, AcuMed, a prominent Singaporean provider, is currently evaluating the platform for a pilot program across multiple clinic locations to support high-volume operations.

CEO Agastya Samat co-founded the company after a decade of deploying large-scale digital health solutions within the United Kingdom’s NHS and major insurers in the Middle East. These global experiences highlighted a recurring theme where operational friction serves as the primary bottleneck for healthcare delivery. Samat maintains that the startup's mission is to remove these hurdles so that medical teams can grow without experiencing professional burnout.

Founder Expertise and Investor Confidence

Chief Technology Officer Pasindu Wijesena complements the leadership team with his extensive background in engineering and artificial intelligence. Having founded his first AI startup five years before the rise of generative AI, he has successfully led engineering teams of more than 100 people. Together, the founders identified that care teams across the globe spend a disproportionate amount of time managing administrative systems instead of helping patients.

Antler provided the initial institutional backing for Zeya Health after the founders completed the firm’s residency program and demonstrated rapid execution speed. Winnie Khoo, a Partner at Antler, noted that the team’s ability to earn trust in the cautious healthcare sector was a decisive factor in their continued support. She emphasized that the startup's early traction reflects both the urgency of the problem and the founders' ability to turn insights into adoption.

Expanding Care Models and Regional Reach

The newly acquired capital will support scaled deployments across private healthcare providers in Singapore and the broader Asia-Pacific region. Zeya Health is currently expanding its workforce, specifically targeting roles for forward-deployed engineers and clinical deployment specialists to manage commercial growth. The platform already serves a wide range of specialties, including pediatrics, physiotherapy, primary care, and surgical outpatient services.

Looking ahead, Zeya Health aims to establish itself as a foundational AI layer for healthcare organizations seeking sustainable scalability. By offering operational observability and automation, the company helps providers manage high volumes without adding significant headcount or complexity. As the Asia-Pacific healthcare system reaches a structural inflection point, demand for non-disruptive infrastructure continues to accelerate.
