Israeli-founded AI startup Wonderful plans to invest $10 million in Brazil in 2026 and increase its annual investment to $20 million in 2027, aiming to make the country its largest global market. The company will direct resources primarily toward hiring and infrastructure. Its expansion focuses on automating complex business processes through enterprise AI agents.

Brazilian Growth Strategy

Rui Duarte Brandão, Wonderful’s vice president of growth and Brazilian expansion leader, has set a target of $1 billion in local revenue within two years. The figure is an ambitious goal, not revenue the company has already generated. Brandão points to Brazil’s large customer bases and complex corporate systems as significant opportunities.

Wonderful has gained six Brazilian clients in six months and has approximately 30 projects underway, according to Brandão. It intends to hire hundreds of engineers and technical specialists serving telecommunications, banking, insurance, aviation, and energy companies. Across Latin America, the startup reports roughly 20 clients, including Mercado Libre in Mexico and Colombian banks.

Founders and Recent Funding

Founded in 2025 by CEO Bar Winkler and CTO Roey Lalazar, Wonderful initially developed conversational AI agents for customer service. Its platform has since expanded to coordinate processes across departments, enterprise applications, and internal systems. The company wants organizations to manage AI workflows through a common operating layer rather than disconnected tools.

Wonderful raised $550 million in Series C funding in September 2026 at a $5 billion valuation, lifting its reported total financing above $800 million. Insight Partners led the round, joined by Salesforce and existing investors including Index Ventures, IVP, Vine Ventures, 9Yards, and Bessemer Venture Partners. The capital will support product development and further international deployments.

Enterprise Applications in Brazil

A Brazilian telecommunications customer processes more than 70,000 requests monthly to update subscribers’ registered addresses. Wonderful brought AI agents into production for that workflow within seven weeks, according to Brandão. The project illustrates the company’s focus on processes requiring coordination among several older business systems rather than standalone chatbots.

The startup also targets vehicle insurance claims involving documents and photographs and corporate banking checks requiring verification of legal records and signatories. Such workflows involve collecting information from multiple sources and moving it between separate systems. Wonderful aims to accelerate these tasks while integrating automation into established business operations.

Implementation and Commercial Model

Wonderful typically pairs a consultant with a forward-deployed engineer who works directly with customers to implement each use case. Under its stated commercial approach, clients pay no initial discovery, setup, or implementation fees, with billing starting after production deployment. The company says customers own the resulting code and intellectual property, allowing transfers to another provider.

Brandão identifies rapid implementation as a competitive advantage, attributing it to industry-specific expertise and reusable platform capabilities. In another operation involving home service visits, diagnostic agents reportedly reduced technician dispatches by 40% within two months. That result is a company-reported example and should not be interpreted as a typical outcome for all deployments.

Market Outlook

Wonderful’s Brazilian initiative reflects growing interest in integrating AI into essential business processes rather than deploying isolated tools. Brandão acknowledges that automation may reduce certain roles but argues it can also shorten decision-making by combining information previously scattered across systems. The company must now convert its project pipeline into recurring revenue to meet its targets.

Wonderful is positioning Brazil as a major test of its locally supported, enterprise-wide AI deployment strategy. Its recent fundraising provides resources for expansion, while early installations offer examples of the tasks its platform is designed to address. Hiring, customer adoption, and sustained revenue growth will determine whether Brazil becomes the company’s biggest market.
