TrustScale has acquired the technology assets and intellectual property of RagMetrics, an AI configuration and evaluation platform. The companies announced the agreement on October 28, 2026. The deal adds evaluation tools while AI hallucinations cost organizations nearly $70 billion a year, according to the announcement.

Deal details

The acquisition brings RagMetrics configuration capabilities and evaluation technology into TrustScale's portfolio. It includes a lower-cost AI-as-a-Judge offering for low- to moderate-risk use cases. RagMetrics CEO Olivier Cohen joins TrustScale as Principal, AI Solutions, while Hernan Lardiez moves to the Product and Customer Solutions teams.

Company context

TrustScale operates as an AI security and quality company. It provides configuration, training, evaluation, and assurance solutions. It draws on more than 20 years of data solutions across more than 200 languages.

How the tools work

The acquired technology supports TrustScale's three-pillar system known as Nuance, Argus, and Humanus. Nuance defines AI quality specifications, Argus automates evaluation and correction, and Humanus adds human judgment when required. The tools help AI makers, shapers, and users at the model, agent, and application levels.

The RagMetrics team expects the acquisition to help customers move from experimentation to trusted AI use. The combined system is designed to detect AI mistakes automatically and evaluate claims against grounded evidence. TrustScale says people remain in control of consequential decisions and actions.
