Indian managed workspace provider Table Space is reportedly preparing an initial public offering that could raise as much as $350 million, marking a significant step in the company’s long-running plans to enter the public markets. The Hillhouse Investment-backed business is expected to submit draft offering documents to the Securities and Exchange Board of India in early August 2026, according to people familiar with the preparations cited by Bloomberg. The proposed transaction has not yet been formally announced by Table Space, and no corresponding draft prospectus was publicly listed by SEBI as of July 30.
Proposed IPO Structure
The planned offering is expected to combine newly issued shares with a sale of holdings by existing investors, although the final size and structure may change before the regulatory filing. Reports indicate that the fresh issue could raise up to INR 10 billion, while the remaining portion would come through an offer for sale, allowing current shareholders to reduce part of their stakes. Key terms, including the valuation sought, participating shareholders, timetable, and use of proceeds, are likely to become clearer only after the draft red herring prospectus is submitted.
Enterprise Workspace Platform
Founded in 2017, Table Space provides managed office solutions designed primarily for large enterprises seeking customized, ready-to-use, and technology-enabled workplaces across major Indian cities. The company says its portfolio spans approximately 11.5 million square feet in nine cities, positioning it among the country’s prominent enterprise-focused flexible workspace operators. Its model covers the planning, design, construction, operation, and management of offices, enabling corporate clients to secure adaptable workspace capacity without directly handling every stage of real estate development and facilities management.
Leadership and Investor Backing
Table Space was established under the leadership of the late Amit Banerji, whose vision helped shape the company’s focus on premium managed workplaces for corporate customers. The business is currently led by Chairman and Co-Chief Executive Karan Chopra and Co-Chief Executive and President Kunal Mehra, alongside a broader management team with experience in commercial property, technology, finance, and enterprise services. Hillhouse’s backing has provided Table Space with substantial growth capital, including a widely reported $300 million investment in 2022 to support expansion and strengthen its position in India’s flexible office market.
Market Position and IPO Readiness
The potential listing comes as flexible and managed office providers seek to benefit from demand generated by multinational companies, global capability centers, and domestic businesses looking for scalable alternatives to conventional long-term leases. Table Space has expanded its footprint while investing in data-led planning, smart access systems, automation, and other workplace technologies intended to improve operating efficiency and the employee experience. The company has also strengthened its corporate structure and leadership ahead of a possible public offering, but it previously stated that it had not shared information with media outlets about reported IPO plans.
A $350 million IPO would give Table Space additional capital to expand its portfolio, invest in technology, and compete more aggressively in India’s evolving commercial workspace sector. However, the transaction remains a reported plan rather than a confirmed public offering until the company files its draft documents and discloses the proposed terms through official regulatory channels. Investors will therefore be watching for the SEBI submission, which should provide verified financial information, risk disclosures, ownership details, and a clearer account of how Table Space intends to use the proceeds.
