AURÄI, an enterprise AI assurance firm, launched a platform to monitor, govern, and certify AI operations. The launch came at the ISACA Lagos Chapter's 30th anniversary conference in Lagos. Founder and CEO Olayinka James said a typical enterprise runs more than 150 AI tools that its IT team has never seen.
Adoption outpaces oversight
Olayinka James said only 38% of audit teams have a strategy for AI. He added only 38% of organizations have a comprehensive policy for AI tools their staff already use. He also said 88% of organizations use AI in at least one business function and 93% of internal audit functions use AI.
Who leads AURÄI
Olayinka James leads AURÄI as CEO after more than 20 years in audit and cybersecurity. Mohammed Mijindadi is chief commercial officer and former President of GE Nigeria. Chris Kanwei is chief financial officer and worked at Aviva and Morgan Stanley.
What the platform does
The platform combines AI agents with trained professionals to automate governance, risk, and compliance. It supports discovery, evidence collection, control testing, policy drafting, and audit documentation. Certified professionals review outputs, challenge findings, and sign off on critical decisions.
AURÄI is expanding engagement with enterprise customers and design partners. Banks, fintechs, consulting firms, and other organizations using or building AI can join a demo and waitlist. The company also trains and certifies professionals to oversee its AI agents.
