Shackleton AI raised US$5 million in Seed funding led by Battery Ventures. The company emerged from stealth and announced its agentic operating system for construction. Its platform manages more than US$1 billion in project value across over 15 states.

Funding participants

Battery Ventures led the round. Brick & Mortar Ventures, Trust Ventures, Correlation Ventures, Motivate Partners, Thayer Investment Partners, Act One Ventures, Brainstorm Ventures, and Silence VC also participated. The company will use the funding to expand workflows and speed go-to-market efforts.

Company context

The founders previously built Ernest, a tech-enabled commercial general contractor, to US$35 million in revenue. Shackleton currently serves midsize general contractors across multifamily, industrial, and commercial construction. Its customers include Red Lobster, Dog Haus, and Pepper Lunch.

What the platform does

The platform brings site selection, bidding, and project turnover into a single system. AI agents draft RFIs, follow up on overdue submittals, flag budget variances, and convert field notes into daily reports. Teams keep human oversight through review and approval workflows.

Shackleton reports that multi-location customers completed buildouts up to 35% ahead of schedule. Some projects came in as much as 18% under budget. The company launched the platform in June 2026 and is building toward more self-managing construction projects.
