RadianX has raised US$9 million in combined venture and project financing. The Seed round was co-led by SOSV and Twynam. The California company builds perovskite solar modules for sensors, wearables, connected devices, and Physical AI.
Production partnership
Pacific Union Technology Precision Manufacturing is funding a dedicated production line for RadianX. That line will support commercial-volume output. RadianX is establishing its first automated 6MW production line.
Certified performance
RadianX modules are among the first perovskite products certified by TÜV in all three categories of IEC TS 63163. The company reported 22.33% efficiency on a 1.2-by-0.6-meter module, a record for that format at the time. The modules also passed lead-release testing under REACH and comply with RoHS.
What modules do
The modules can generate power in low and indoor light, where conventional silicon is less effective. They are as thin as 0.7mm and available in custom sizes and output voltages. Device makers can integrate them into surfaces to extend runtime, shrink batteries, or avoid battery replacement.
RadianX is already integrating its modules with device makers. It is working with NGK Corporation on wireless asset trackers using NGK EnerCera batteries. The company is hiring, with open roles listed on its website.
