Kore Baseball secured a US$150,000 investment on ABC's Shark Tank. Daniel Lubetzky and Rashaun Williams provided the funding for 15% equity. The Salt Lake City-based company makes soft, hand-stitched baseballs and custom bats for backyard play.
Deal details
The investment was secured during the November 4 episode of ABC's Shark Tank. Lubetzky and Williams teamed up during the pitch. Susan Koelliker and her sons Will and Charlie represented the family business.
Company background
David Koelliker founded Kore Baseball in 2014. He died of brain cancer shortly after starting the company. His wife Susan and sons Will and Charlie later relaunched the business.
Product and reach
The soft balls mimic the look, stitching, and feel of regulation baseballs. They help young players build confidence without the injury risk of a hardball. The company says its TikTok videos have generated more than 36 million views and attracted MLB players and content creators.
With the new investment, the family plans to continue new product launches and expand distribution. Kore Baseball products are available at KoreBaseball.com and on TikTok and Instagram. The company will keep honoring David Koelliker's love of the game.
