iConnections announced a collaboration with Preqin, a part of BlackRock. The partnership brings Preqin's private markets data into Violet, iConnections' AI-powered capital introduction platform. The network includes more than 26,000 allocators and fund managers representing over $55 trillion in assets.

The integration gives Global Alts attendees access to Preqin intelligence inside Violet. The data covers fund managers, institutional investors, funds, benchmarks, and indices. Thousands of allocators and managers use the platform to discover one another, book meetings, and build relationships.

Preqin has spent more than two decades building private markets data and intelligence. More than 200,000 professionals globally rely on the company's information. iConnections hosts Global Alts, a global series of alternative investment events.
What attendees can do
Attendees can use Preqin intelligence within their existing workflows on Violet. They can research organizations, evaluate potential relationships, and prepare for one-to-one meetings. Those meetings define the Global Alts events.
The integration will roll out to Global Alts event attendees beginning with Global Alts Asia in November. Attendees will access the data through Violet. BlackRock acquired Preqin in 2025.
