Powerhouse Ventures Limited has taken a strategic step toward expanding its venture investment platform with the announcement of a new partnership involving technology specialist GlobalDots. The agreement will support the launch of the Burleigh Ventures Critical Infrastructure Opportunities Fund, which sits under Powerhouse’s Burleigh Ventures brand. The fund is entering the final stages of establishment and will operate as an Australian Corporate Collective Investment Vehicle.

A Strategic Partnership to Strengthen Fund Capabilities

Under the conditional framework agreement, GlobalDots is set to provide both financial and operational backing for the fund’s rollout. The commitment ranges between US$1 million and US$5 million, subject to final terms and performance milestones. In addition to capital, the partner will contribute hands-on support around deal sourcing, investment evaluation, and scaling portfolio companies.

Enhancing Access to Deal Flow and Technical Expertise

A core component of the partnership is access to GlobalDots’ deep enterprise network and startup pipeline. The company brings more than two decades of experience in cloud performance optimization, data security, and enterprise-scale infrastructure. Powerhouse expects this collaboration to significantly enhance due diligence processes and strengthen technological oversight for portfolio investments.

Why GlobalDots Aligns with Powerhouse’s Strategy

GlobalDots has built a reputation as an independent cloud integrator capable of identifying commercially viable technologies early. With more than 500 enterprise clients and a team of 120 cloud specialists, the firm possesses insight into security, DevOps, FinOps, and infrastructure trends across global markets. Powerhouse believes this makes GlobalDots a high-value partner for a fund positioned to target emerging critical technology sectors.

Economic Incentives Within the Structure

In recognition of its operational and financial contributions, GlobalDots may earn up to a 10 percent economic entitlement in Burleigh Venture Partners Pty Ltd, the investment manager overseeing the fund. This entitlement remains contingent on meeting specific financial and operational performance benchmarks. The structure allows GlobalDots to participate in upside potential while helping drive execution and portfolio development.

Focus on Critical Infrastructure and Technology Innovation

The new Burleigh Ventures Fund was first announced in March 2025 as a vehicle focused on technologies set to underpin future infrastructure. These include artificial intelligence, quantum computing, space technologies, and advanced materials. Powerhouse believes that both the global energy transition and the rapid expansion of data creation will generate large-scale investment opportunities over the coming decade.

Alignment with Energy and Data Mega-Trends

The company highlights two macro shifts driving its investment thesis: how energy is generated and consumed, and how data is accessed and processed at scale. The fund aims to back startups that build core infrastructure enabling these changes rather than consumer-facing applications. Powerhouse views this as an attractive long-term segment given the rising importance of secure, efficient, and scalable systems.

Portfolio Expansion Through Asset Transfer

To accelerate deployment, Powerhouse plans to transfer several existing unlisted assets into the fund in exchange for initial shares. These include Southern Launch, Veriquantix, and Sirius-beta Labs, investments previously disclosed through ASX notices. The approach allows Powerhouse shareholders to gain exposure to a larger portfolio without dilution.

GlobalDots’ Enterprise Presence and Validation Model

Operating from offices spanning Toronto to Tokyo, GlobalDots maintains a global footprint with clients such as Lufthansa, Bosch, IBM, and SentinelOne. The company takes an engineering-first approach to technology validation, testing solutions for scalability and commercial readiness before endorsing adoption. This model is expected to support Powerhouse in selecting startups with both technical depth and enterprise viability.

Powerhouse Ventures expects the partnership to strengthen its positioning as a specialist investor in emerging critical infrastructure. The collaboration with GlobalDots is designed to enhance sourcing, evaluation, and commercialization capabilities as the Burleigh Ventures Fund moves toward launch. The company plans to update shareholders shortly regarding fund activation, investee progress, and capital raising milestones.
