Orchestra Raises $3.3 Million Seed Round for Enterprise Data and AI Control Plane

The startup formally launches its agentic control plane to unify pipelines and governed AI agents.

Orchestra, an AI-native platform for enterprise data and artificial intelligence workflows, has formally launched its Agentic Control Plane after recording more than a tenfold increase in platform usage over the past year. The company also announced total funding of $4.6 million, including a $3.3 million seed round led by Differential Ventures, as part of its launch. The launch positions Orchestra to help data teams build and govern pipelines and AI agents within a single environment as AI adoption accelerates.


The Challenge of Scaling Data and AI

Growing demand for AI has made data work more accessible, but the supporting infrastructure remains highly complex and costly to scale. Data teams often become bottlenecks because they must manage systems that were not designed for the current pace of enterprise AI adoption. Orchestra addresses this by connecting existing data infrastructure into a context-aware control plane that allows users across the business to automate data and AI workflows reliably while preserving governance.

A Unified Control Plane for Workflows

The platform includes a serverless engine capable of orchestrating millions of tasks and agents in parallel without requiring engineers to maintain large clusters. Users can build through an intuitive interface or with a few lines of code and monitor everything from a single location with end-to-end visibility into dependencies. More than one hundred core integrations let organizations adopt Orchestra without replacing their existing technology stack, and implementations can be completed in weeks.

Secure Runtime and Context Layer

Orchestra Runtime provides a secure environment for operating AI agents, with each agent running in isolation and receiving controlled access to only the specific resources it needs. Its Context Layer organizes information about enterprise systems and workflows so agents can complete data engineering tasks accurately without broad access to the wider environment. The model-agnostic design allows companies to choose the models that best meet their needs while reducing token consumption.

Customer Impact and Early Results

According to the company, customers have reduced pipeline runtime costs by up to 80 percent and cut pipeline development time by up to 95 percent. Migrations that once took years have been completed in a couple of months, while hundreds of failure investigations are automated each day. Mike Holmes, Global Head of Data Engineering at Octopus Energy, said the company is moving its dbt estate from Airflow to Orchestra to keep its stack simple and run agents securely alongside data.

Funding and Growth Plans

The launch is supported by $4.6 million in total funding, including a $3.3 million seed round led by Differential Ventures and a $1.3 million pre-seed round led by Moonfire. Additional investors include Breakers, Tokyo Black, and Contour Ventures. Orchestra will use the capital to expand its engineering and go-to-market teams in London, advance product development, and support growth across the United States and Europe.


The company believes the enterprise has only seen the beginning of AI adoption, and that ungoverned workflows can quickly create an AI swamp of unsupervised agents and duplicated work. Orchestra's launch arrives as data teams face rising token budgets and pressure to deliver without increased headcount. By combining orchestration, runtime security, and context management, the platform aims to provide the guardrails needed for sustainable enterprise AI growth.
