ORA Technologies, VelyVelo, and Bringo have launched a tri-party partnership to support sustainable last-mile delivery in Morocco. The collaboration was highlighted by ecosystem advocate Omar Alami, who noted that operations have been underway in recent weeks. The effort combines Moroccan startup capabilities with established retail backing to expand accessible e-commerce and food delivery.

Partnership Overview

Under the arrangement, ORA Technologies trains and deploys delivery riders who fulfill Bringo orders using electric mobility provided by VelyVelo. The parties position the model as a local, scalable alternative that can serve both large chains and neighborhood merchants. According to Alami, the initiative benefits from the support of LabelVie, a major Moroccan retail group.

Customer Experience and Service Model

Bringo connects users with specialized shoppers who pick items in store and deliver within chosen time windows. Customers select a retailer, add products to a cart, and receive their purchases with a fiscal receipt at the door. The platform markets its consumer experience as free to use, with the courier workflow integrated end to end.

Safety and Sustainability Measures

VelyVelo’s e-bikes used in the deployment are speed limited to 25 kilometers per hour to reduce energy consumption and improve road safety. The company provides maintenance, insurance, and connected fleet management to keep vehicles available and efficient. ORA Technologies complements the hardware with training and operational oversight to maintain service quality during peak periods and express runs.

ORA Technologies Context

Founded in 2023 in Casablanca, ORA Technologies operates across fintech and foodtech with two products, Kooul and ORA Cash. Kooul aggregates menus from national chains and neighborhood eateries, offering Moroccan and international cuisine through a locally operated delivery app. ORA Cash provides simple, secure, low-cost digital transfers supported by a network of more than 5,000 partner agencies.

VelyVelo Snapshot

VelyVelo, established in 2017, supplies smart fleet and financing solutions centered on electric bikes, cargo bikes, and trikes. Its model bundles vehicles, predictive maintenance, insurance, and connected software into an all-in-one lease, lowering barriers for delivery operators and couriers. The company began in France and has expanded to Morocco and Spain, focusing on sustainable and cost-effective last-mile logistics.

Bringo Background

Bringo was founded in 2016 in Bucharest and connects consumers with trained couriers who shop and deliver on their behalf. The service emphasizes transparency by handing over the store receipt upon delivery and allowing customers to pick time slots. The company lists retail partnerships and active recruiting for both merchants and riders as it extends its footprint.

Strategic Significance for Morocco

The three-way collaboration highlights a broader shift toward electrified last-mile delivery and locally anchored platforms. By pairing ORA’s rider operations with VelyVelo’s financed fleets, the model addresses both human capital and asset constraints that can slow scale. Backing from a leading retailer signals confidence in homegrown solutions that can meet reliability, cost, and sustainability expectations.

Outlook and Next Steps

Partners are expected to deepen integration across fleet telemetry, training standards, and routing to improve unit economics. Expansion into additional neighborhoods and use cases, such as groceries, ready-to-eat meals, and convenience items, appears likely as performance data accumulates. The approach also creates a pathway to embed fintech tools like ORA Cash into delivery workflows where it can streamline payments and reconciliation.

The ORA Technologies, VelyVelo, and Bringo partnership combines local operational know-how, financed electric fleets, and a consumer-friendly shopping app to advance sustainable delivery in Morocco. With safety controls, maintenance support, and retailer alignment, the collaboration aims to balance speed with quality and environmental impact. Early traction suggests a replicable model that can scale responsibly while broadening access to e-commerce services.
