Noble Mobile acquired SmartLess Mobile. Noble is a consumer telecom startup founded by entrepreneur Andrew Yang. The company describes itself as the first wireless service designed around digital wellness.

Deal terms

Existing SmartLess Mobile customers will keep their current plan pricing. They will gain access to Noble's nationwide 5G coverage and customer support. SmartLess Mobile was established by the creators of the SmartLess podcast and backed by Thomvest.

Recent expansion

The deal is Noble's second acquisition this year. Noble launched in September last year. It plans to use the Helium Network to expand coverage for its members.

Screen-time tools

Noble introduced a Brain Rot Index inside its app. The metric tracks screen habits, doomscrolls, and phone pick-ups in real time. Family plan leaderboards track cash back and Brain Rot scores.

Members can earn up to $20 a month in cash back for using their phone less. That cash back grows at 5.5% a year, like a high-yield savings account. Noble offers unlimited plans on the T-Mobile network.
