Mindmax has raised £2.5 million (US$3.3 million) in venture capital funding. Concept Ventures led the round. The company builds AI-powered learning tools for skills, retention, and professional qualifications.

Investor backing

Redrice Ventures, Daybreak Ventures, and Lerer Hippeau joined the round. Angel investors included Maria Raga and Torsten Reil. Raga is the former CEO of Depop, and Reil co-founded Helsing.

Founder background

Mindmax was founded by Ed Cooke and Daniel Zohar. Both previously worked on Memrise. Memrise is a language learning platform that has attracted more than 80 million users worldwide.

AI tutor features

The first product is an AI tutor for exam preparation and upskilling. Users can ask questions, interrupt explanations, and direct lessons toward difficult topics. Sessions include visual explanations and illustrations, and lessons adapt to each learner's existing knowledge and goals.

Mindmax plans to continue developing its AI models. It aims to support more personalized learning experiences. The company says thousands of people already use the platform to pass exams and get jobs.
