Indrus, a Perth logistics startup, has raised $750,000 in Pre-Seed funding. Purpose Ventures led the round, with support from Melt Ventures and Curtin University. The company's platform gives logistics operators a clearer view of yard activity.

Use of funds

The new capital will go toward team expansion and more logistics yard deployments. Purpose Ventures managing director Derek Gerrard said the fund knew the founders before Indrus was formally established. He added that the company moved quickly from an idea to operator interest worldwide.

Early customer traction

Indrus was founded in April 2025 by Ryan Liebregts and Dre Siwela. The cofounders met in a robotics class at Curtin University while studying mechatronics engineering. The startup has deployed its technology with large US logistics businesses and secured a pilot with a major Australian port.

What the platform does

Indrus uses computer vision and AI to monitor yard activity in real time. The software draws on existing camera monitoring to track trucks, trailers, and equipment. It gives operators a clearer picture of asset use, team activity, and costly delays.

Indrus has logged more than 200,000 camera hours and tracked over 50,000 vehicles. Indrus graduated from Curtin Accelerate in 2025 and won the Curtinnovation Business Award. Projects with Australian retail, third-party logistics, and fast-moving consumer goods organizations are scheduled to begin in 2027.
