Matiks raised $10 million in a Pre-Series A round led by General Catalyst. The Bengaluru-based company builds social games centered on math, memory, logic, and puzzles. Existing investors Info Edge Ventures, Tanglin Venture Partners, and Untitled Ventures also participated.
Funding plans
Entrepreneur Ronnie Screwvala also joined the round. The fresh capital will fund international expansion, new games, and social experiences. Matiks also plans an AI-powered game creation platform for building games without code.
Early growth
Matiks was founded in 2024. The company said 2.2 million people played 48 million games in September 2026. It added that daily active users rose above 300,000, more than doubling since June, with early traction in Japan, the US, and South Korea.
What players get
The platform mixes competitive gameplay with social features. Users can challenge friends and play games centered on math, memory, logic, and puzzles. Sessions featuring its recently launched single-player puzzle format, SNAC, run about three times longer.
Matiks will prioritize US expansion before entering other tier-one markets. The company plans to increase investments in engineering, AI, product, design, game development, and growth. It also expects user-generated content to add more variety to the platform.
