The Kimi platform has introduced a financial industry artificial intelligence solution that brings together specialized models, products, and capabilities for institutional users. The offering includes more than ten authoritative data sources, nine professional financial skills, and five compliance and security measures, alongside institutional-grade data modeling and reporting tools. The solution connects data acquisition, professional analysis, and final delivery for tasks such as morning portfolio briefs, earnings reviews, project screening, and portfolio reviews.

A Data-Intensive Industry Under Pressure

Financial institutions have long been constrained by the speed of data processing and the breadth of information collection. Market expectations increasingly require minute-level responses to changes in global market structure, while traditional analysis often takes a full day to organize from announcements, news, and research reports. The new solution is designed to reduce materials processing and initial drafting from days to hours, allowing professionals to devote more time to analysis and judgment.

Ten Authoritative Data Sources

Kimi products, including the web platform, desktop application, and Kimi Code, integrate Wind, East Money, S&P Global, Cailian Press, and Caixin Data. These sources are connected through MCP so that key figures can be traced back to their original context, with clear sourcing and calculation standards. Researchers can also use Tianyancha and YuanDian Legal to add corporate, judicial, and intellectual property information beyond financial statements.

Nine Skills for End-to-End Workflows

The solution packages financial workflows into nine professional skills covering institutional financial modeling, research reports, presentation decks, dynamic charts, earnings commentary, consensus maps, portfolio reviews, morning briefs, and an HK IPO lens. These skills have been tested across investment banking, private equity, industry research, commercial banking, and insurance tasks. In one modeling case, human effort fell from five to seven person-days to about half a day, while an industry research cycle dropped from ten to twenty days to two days.

Compliance and Security Partnership

Kimi is working with Chinese brokerage CSC Financial to build a risk assessment gateway that turns institutional security and compliance requirements into concrete controls. The gateway includes data classification and grading, personal information protection, data source and tool access authorization, content verification with manual review, and audit and responsibility traceability. It is designed to determine what information can be sent to external models, whether data sources and tools are authorized, and whether outputs can be verified and traced.

Pilot Results and Institutional Deployment

In a pilot with CSC Financial, the gateway supported temporary entrusted report generation for more than fifty issuers and over one hundred outstanding corporate bonds. System integration planned for two months was completed in three working days, and single report preparation time fell from about thirty minutes to ten minutes, a 67 percent reduction. Kimi says the gateway can be reused across new scenarios, allowing the same compliance checks to support faster review and scaling of intelligent agents.

Access and Availability

The capabilities are now available to individual users on the Kimi platform, where financial skills and data source plugins can be installed. Teams can use the desktop application and developer tools to access data source plugins, financial skills, custom plugins, and local computer agent capabilities. For institutions, the Kimi Hosted Agents service provides a configurable and auditable environment for intelligent agents that enter real business processes.

The launch positions Kimi as a broader workflow provider in financial services, moving beyond isolated assistance toward integrated data, modeling, and compliance delivery. Dozens of financial institutions are already using Kimi models and tools across brokerages, commercial banks, venture capital funds, and investment research data firms. By embedding authoritative sources, professional skills, and compliance controls into one environment, the platform aims to give financial professionals more time for analysis while satisfying demanding accuracy and audit requirements.
