Fragment launched and announced $56 million in total funding. The package includes a Series A led by 8VC and a Seed round co-led by General Catalyst and A*. The company builds AI tools for direct procurement operations at large physical goods companies.

Backers and early users

Angel investors include Roelof Botha, Nikesh Arora, Jeff Wilke, Eric Wu, and Dennis Cinelli. Fragment is already working with Graybar and CNX. These customers use the platform for complex procurement workflows.

Company focus

Fragment targets the direct procurement operations of the world's largest physical goods companies. Its platform investigates and resolves purchasing and payment exceptions. The work includes manual reconciliation that typically slows operations and consumes procurement teams' time.

How the platform works

Fragment's Autonomous Context Engine connects data across separate systems. It captures company-specific policies, relationships, and institutional knowledge. Agents use that context to carry out authorized resolutions without requiring data migration.

Funding will support continued development of ACE and expansion across source-to-pay. The company plans deployments with more of the world's largest enterprises. It is building toward autonomous execution across procurement and beyond.
