Forus has secured $150 million in Series C financing at a $3 billion valuation, raising total funding above $300 million. The company, which operates an AI network designed to accelerate how medicine reaches patients, tripled its valuation only months after its Series B. The financing was insider-led and received support from every existing institutional investor.
Funding Details and Investor Backing
Bain Capital Ventures led the round and has backed Forus since its seed stage. Reinvesting participants include Thrive Capital, General Catalyst, Accel, Redpoint, BoxGroup, Pear VC, Vast Ventures, and SV Angel. The new capital will help expand the platform into all specialties and care settings, extend AI agent capabilities across the entire path to treatment, and grow the company’s team.
National Reach and Provider Adoption
Forus is already operating at a national scale and supports millions of people through providers in all 50 states. Its platform serves patients in 85 percent of U.S. residential ZIP codes. More than one third of providers in the first launched specialty have adopted the technology, and double-digit percentages of providers across multiple other specialties are following.
Closing the Access Gap in Medicine
One in three people prescribed medication for a high-cost or complex condition never receives their first dose, and many wait weeks or months. Providers often choose older therapies because new treatments introduce uncertainty and administrative burden for their practices. Forus aims to close this gap by making the path from prescription to treatment simpler, faster, and more predictable.
How AI Agents Simplify Prescriptions
Forus gives every prescription its own AI agent that is embedded directly in provider workflows. These agents manage insurance navigation, financial assistance, and supply chain coordination across every drug, payer, and pharmacy in the country at no cost to providers or patients. Each agent reasons through patient medical history, insurance coverage, and financial circumstances to determine next steps, drawing on clinical models and data from millions of cases.
Clinical Benefits and Patient Outcomes
Dr. Brinda Dixit, a rheumatologist at Virginia Rheumatology Clinic, said patients used to return after two or three months without starting medication. With Forus, approvals for these therapies can return in less than two days, and patients often begin treatment within one or two weeks. She noted that faster therapy starts are helping patients improve sooner and making her a better physician.

Forus is now working with nine of the top 15 global biopharma companies as well as fast-growing biotechs. The network reveals where providers encounter obstacles, where patients fall off, and how medicines perform in real-world settings. Biopharma companies use these insights to improve research design, launch products more effectively, and invest in harder-to-treat conditions.
