EASE Holdings BV raised US$9.5 million in additional equity from AAFC Group Inc. The medical equipment-as-a-service provider operates in South Africa and Ghana. The round brings its total equity to US$24 million.
Funding scope
The new equity will work alongside existing debt facilities. EASE plans to expand access to AI-enabled medical devices in South Africa and Ghana. Target equipment includes MRI, CT, and PET-CT scanners, surgical robots, and radiotherapy systems.
Company footprint
EASE is based in the Netherlands. It has deployed surgical robots in KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga. Other placements include a PET-CT scanner in Rustenburg, an MRI scanner in Akwatia, and CT scanners in Accra.
Service model
EASE provides equipment through pay-per-use and managed-service contracts. These agreements include maintenance, support, and upgrades. Providers can record the cost as an operating expense instead of owning equipment.
EASE expects at least US$20 million of new installations in South Africa in 2027. It plans to work with the country's largest banks and leading equipment manufacturers. The company is also assessing India, Morocco, and Malaysia.
