Dream raised $17 million in Seed funding to automate design and engineering for the built world. Andreessen Horowitz, SV Angel, XYZ, and Zigg Capital participated in the round. The San Francisco startup builds AI systems that reason about physical constructed space.

Built world models

The company introduced built world models trained on more than 100 million square feet of permitted U.S. buildings. The dataset includes commercial properties, apartments, and single-family homes. The models produce engineering-grade, spatially precise building plans rather than approximations.

Founding team

Dream was founded by Andy Elder and Arjun Mathur, former Palantir leaders. Elder led global design teams across defense, intelligence, and commercial sectors. Mathur built Palantir's manufacturing and supply chain practice.

Early project work

Dream has served as architect of record on 10 construction projects across California and Texas. A single-family home in Austin was completed from start to finish. The company has supported $20 million in project developments to date.

The models generate drawing sets that a general contractor can build from. Dream says precision at the level of routing a duct through a wall can shorten timelines and reduce project costs. The company says the technology can eventually apply to 3D design projects beyond buildings.
