Copy Geek, a Sydney-based crypto trading software startup, has raised A$2 million in Pre-Seed funding. Dr. David Issa and Thomas Boga led the round for a consortium of Sydney private investors. The company builds copy-trading software for professional traders.
Funding use
The fresh capital will support product development, engineering hiring, and exchange partnerships. Copy Geek plans to deepen its relationships with cryptocurrency exchanges. Its platform is already live on Bitfinex, WhiteBIT, Bybit, and Hyperliquid.
Company background
Chris Ji, a Bitfinex trader, founded Copy Geek in June 2026. The company is headquartered in Sydney. Adrian Tadros serves as its technology advisor.
How the platform works
Copy Geek offers a non-custodial copy-trading engine. It connects to an exchange's existing accounts, APIs, and order books. Follower trades are placed and settled on the exchange where the follower holds an account.
Copy Geek is recruiting traders through its Geek Pass program. Applicants need at least 60 days of trading history on a supported exchange. The US$299 activation fee is currently waived.
