Cloudstate, a company specializing in health products for girls, has announced its acquisition of Girlhood, a prominent community platform for Gen Z. This strategic merger aims to create a comprehensive ecosystem that integrates expert-backed health support with a vibrant, peer-driven community. The move solidifies Cloudstate's commitment to fostering emotional safety and confidence among young women.

A Strategic Expansion into Gen Z Communities

The acquisition provides Cloudstate with immediate access to Girlhood's extensive and engaged audience. The community platform boasts an impressive footprint, including 86,000 followers, 8 million content views, and a global volunteer network of 200 girls. This integration significantly expands Cloudstate's market reach and cements its position as a leader in youth well-being.

This new entity distinguishes itself from traditional social media platforms that often prioritize content and comparison. Cloudstate is intentionally designing a space optimized for emotional safety, peer connection, and guided support. The goal is to build a culture where belonging is the norm, challenging standards that suggest girls need correction.

Integrating Leadership and Vision

As part of the acquisition, Girlhood Co-founder Sophia Rundle will join the Cloudstate team as the new Head of Brand Experience. Rundle brings a proven ability to cultivate authentic spaces for young women, having launched the successful platform while still in high school. Her appointment ensures that Girlhood's foundational ethos will continue to guide the community's growth.

In her new capacity, Rundle will spearhead initiatives designed to meet the evolving needs of Gen Z. She will host a forthcoming podcast titled "Unpolished" and will continue to lead "Unpolished Live," a popular live program. This continuity in programming, which has seen 300% growth, is key to retaining the trust of the existing community.

Building a Future 'With Her'

Meg Smith, CEO and Founder of Cloudstate, emphasized that the company is doubling down on its commitment to creating safer spaces. She stated that the success of their programs reflects a generation of girls who finally feel seen and supported. This acquisition is a foundational step in building a future centered on her physical and mental well-being.

Sophia Rundle echoed this sentiment, noting that Girlhood has always provided a platform for girls to share their stories. By joining Cloudstate, she explained, they can now scale that mission with more meaningful resources and a global megaphone. The focus shifts from simply building for young women to actively building alongside them.

Upcoming Initiatives and Future Outlook

The first major initiative following the merger will be the relaunch of "Unpolished Live," scheduled for May 17, 2026. This event will serve as the public debut of the integrated brands, showcasing their combined vision for the future. It represents a critical step in ensuring Cloudstate remains the most trusted and authentic community for girls.

The union of Cloudstate's health expertise and Girlhood's community-building prowess marks a significant development in the youth wellness sector. This strategic acquisition creates a powerful, first-of-its-kind platform dedicated to both physical and emotional health. It positions the newly expanded company to become the definitive resource for a generation of young women navigating modern complexities.
