Backed by investors including Project A, Lifeline Ventures, and Seedcamp, they later pivoted to solve more complex infrastructure challenges. Their focus shifted to enabling AI agents to act safely and reliably over structured data at scale.
This acquisition marks Aiven's third to date and follows a period of significant growth for the company. Aiven surpassed a $100 million annual revenue run rate in 2025 and has recently launched several new offerings. These include Inkless for Kafka, the managed context layer Aiven for Datahub, and the early availability of Aiven Apps.
