Bria.ai is laying off about 20 of its 60 employees. The Israeli AI startup announced the cuts as part of a corporate restructuring. Bria develops image generation and editing tools for business customers.
Restructuring changes
Ron Mokady, the company's VP of Research, has left. He reported to Chief Technology Officer Misha Feinstein, who remains at the company. Global model development work will move into the Israeli team.
Funding so far
Bria had raised $65 million in total by March 2025. That month, it announced a $40 million Series B led by Red Dot Capital. Other backers included Maor Investment, Entrée Capital, GFT Ventures, Intel Capital, and In-Venture.
Licensed training model
Bria builds AI models and a platform for generating and editing images. Business customers use the tools to create visual content that matches their brand. The company says it trains models on licensed content and pays artists and copyright holders.
Misha Feinstein will lead research and development after the restructuring. The company will keep developing its models and integrating them into core products. Bria also operates an attribution engine that links AI-generated content to training data and supports payments to content owners.
