The financing follows a $10 million pre-seed round announced when the company emerged from stealth in July. Floating Nuclear Technology for Portable Power
Bluecore Energy builds small modular reactors mounted on floating barges rather than fixed land sites, allowing power to be moved to wherever it is needed. Its first system is designed to generate approximately 10 megawatts of continuous electricity for ports, critical infrastructure, and other high-demand locations. Existing backers include Slauson & Co., Harlem Capital, and Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen, while new investors include Collab Capital, Kevin Hart's HartBeat Ventures, MaC Ventures, Precursor Ventures, and Karman Ventures. Several angel investors from Tesla, Uber, Amazon, and Google also joined the round.

Fresh capital will fund continued product development, regulatory work, nuclear fuel purchases, hiring, engineering, testing, and manufacturing. Asante has stated that the main challenge will be securing critical hardware and supply chain capacity at a pace that matches demand. The Port of Long Beach is preparing for a future defined by electrification, growing energy demand, and the transition to zero-emission operations. Port leadership has indicated that meeting these needs will require hundreds of megawatts of energy and new technological approaches. In July, the port and the U.S. Maritime Administration entered a memorandum of cooperation to study advanced maritime energy systems, including small modular reactors.
