Aolani, a Singapore-founded AI cloud provider, has announced a strategic compute collaboration with NVIDIA aimed at expanding artificial intelligence infrastructure across Southeast Asia. The agreement is described as the first of its scale for a company founded in the region. It combines Aolani's operational capabilities with NVIDIA's technology to accelerate and broaden access to AI compute in Asia for global AI natives, sovereigns, and local enterprises.
Regional AI Infrastructure Expansion
The collaboration will bring Aolani's total AI factory capacity to more than 100 megawatts, marking a substantial increase in regional compute capabilities. Aolani plans to deploy 22,000 GPUs across two AI factories located in Malaysia and the Philippines by early 2027. This expansion will lift the company's total deployment to more than 48,000 GPUs, with the Philippines site expected to be among the first large-scale AI infrastructure platforms in the country.
Financing and Market Access
The strategic partnership is expected to unlock financing that will further accelerate the availability of AI compute across Asia. It is intended to serve global AI-native companies, sovereign entities, and local enterprises and small and medium-sized businesses. By aligning investment with customer demand, Aolani aims to democratise access to high-performance infrastructure while maintaining a capital-efficient path to regional expansion.
Technology and Cloud Services
As an NVIDIA Cloud Partner since 2023, Aolani will deploy NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs to help organisations build and scale advanced artificial intelligence workloads. The company will offer NVIDIA-powered cloud services to AI-native companies, enterprises, startups, developers, and institutions throughout Southeast Asia. A revenue-sharing and credit-support model is designed to align infrastructure deployment with customer demand and provide a capital-efficient route to scaling AI factories across the region.
Southeast Asia's Growing AI Momentum
Southeast Asia is one of the world's most robust AI markets, with company adoption rates showing stronger momentum than the global average. Aolani notes that global hyperscalers have invested more than US$50 billion in AI-ready data centres and cloud infrastructure across the region. Malaysia has established itself as a premier AI factory hub, while the Philippines is viewed as a high-potential emerging market for AI infrastructure.
Leadership Commentary
Nicholas Chia, Chief Executive Officer at Aolani, said the collaboration is a defining moment in the company's mission to deliver world-class AI compute at the speed of AI development. He noted that infrastructure must be compliant, accountable, and trusted to perform. Chia added that Southeast Asia is rapidly becoming a key global node for AI buildout and that Aolani is well positioned to lead this growth.
