Amplicity raised US$1.01 million in a Seed round. Loyal VC backed the funding. The Singapore company helps data centers and industrial sites turn idle backup batteries into working energy assets.

Award and early traction

The company is engaged with more than 20 prospective customer sites across Asia-Pacific. It also won the Pioneers in Sustainability Award at the France-Singapore Business Awards 2026. The startup is a finalist for two awards at the AustCham Singapore Business Awards 2026.

Idle battery capacity

Amplicity estimates that Singapore data centers hold about 160 MWh of backup battery capacity. The company puts the Asia-Pacific data center total at about 740 MWh. It sees this mostly idle capacity as an overlooked asset for the energy transition.

How the platform works

Amplicity uses only battery capacity above a site's backup reserve. Operators set the limits, and local controllers enforce them without internet access. Its modeling shows a S$500,000 battery at a Singapore data center could deliver about S$256,000 a year in value.

Amplicity plans to enter Japan in 2027. The company also offers a Battery Value Assessment before customers commit. The service starts with batteries a site already owns, so no new battery spend is required.
