OpenTraining has joined Meta Wearables Studio UAE, a national program for secure AI wearable applications. The company builds a training-data platform for physical AI. It will use Meta smart glasses to record skilled industrial work and help train robots for dangerous tasks.
Program scope
The program was introduced at GISEC Global 2026. Startupbootcamp delivers it with Meta and the UAE Cyber Security Council. Participants receive access to Meta wearable hardware and engineering help, including Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses.
Company context
OpenTraining is owned by Open Technology LLC. The founder and CEO is George Bancs. The company also belongs to NVIDIA Inception, NVIDIA's program for AI startups.
How the platform works
On-device face detection and pixelation run in real time before any frame is stored. Only redacted images are kept, and identifiable frames are never transmitted or reviewed. Workers can join a Training Economy program to submit demonstrations during shifts and earn payment for approved contributions.
The company has authored hazard profiles across sixteen industry verticals, beginning with building and infrastructure. In a September recording, 72 seconds of a worker walking an unfinished floor flagged 12 hazards, including one high-severity unguarded penetration. Most current inquiries start with safety reporting.
