Yellowphant Robot said its YV-4 dual-arm robot has entered the final stage of development. The South Korean company builds food and beverage cooking automation and unmanned store systems. It currently operates about 60 robotic coffee shops across the country.
Ramen expansion
The YV-2 ramen platform is already running at Gapyeong and Gadeok rest areas. Gadeok operates two units. The company has orders for eight platforms across six rest areas.
Remote operations
Yellowphant Robot uses integrated software and remote monitoring tools. Its digital twin system lets a small team monitor equipment, inventory, and errors nationwide. The company reports a remote self-recovery rate above 95%.
Dual-arm plans
The YV-4 will cook coffee and ramen at the same time. Testbed operations are scheduled to start early next year. The company then plans to expand commercial stores in stages.
This year, the company will focus on YV-2 installations. It plans to add 20 more YV-2 units by the end of the year. Next year, it plans to apply the dual-arm platform to retail, smart factories, and logistics.
