Investor details

Alphatron Group B.V. Impact Ventures also co-invested in the round. Existing angel investors continued their backing. The new investment brings expertise from both Asia and the US.

Company context

Viridi marked its fifth birthday alongside the announcement. The company is led by co-founder and CEO Dr. Daniel Stewart. He said Thaioil's close review and decision to back the technology validate what the team has built.

The technology

Viridi develops CO2-based chemistry. Its work targets the surfactant sector. Through Thaioil, the company is moving closer to one of Asia's established surfactant supply chains.

The funding will support team growth and technology scale-up. Commercial expansion is planned across Asia and the US. The company also aims to bring its CO2-based chemistry to industrial scale.
