UniqYou, a Bengaluru-based direct-to-consumer fashion startup focused on women's apparel, has raised Rs 15.8 crore in a seed funding round. The investment was led by Arkam Ventures and Antler, with participation from several angel investors. The transaction values the company at approximately Rs 64 crore post-money and marks a notable early-stage bet on technology-led fashion retail.
Funding Structure and Investor Breakup
The board at UniqYou approved the issuance of 37,487 compulsorily convertible preference shares at an issue price of Rs 4,215 per share to close the transaction. Arkam Ventures contributed Rs 9.3 crore, making it the largest investor in the round, while Antler invested Rs 4.96 crore. Ankit Garg put in Rs 1 crore, and angel investors Abhishek Goyal, Chaitanya Ramalingegowda, Raveen Sastry and Nandita Sinha also participated.
After the allotment, Arkam Ventures holds a 14.93 percent stake in UniqYou and Antler owns 7.96 percent. Individual investor Abhishek Goyal holds 1.59 percent while Chaitanya Ramalingegowda holds 0.24 percent. An earlier report had indicated that the startup was in talks to raise around Rs 12 crore, but the final seed round came in significantly larger.
The participation of institutional and angel investors combines growth capital with early-stage operating experience for the company. The share issuance was completed in a single allotment, giving UniqYou immediate access to the committed funds. This structure reflects a straightforward capitalization approach for a young consumer brand entering a competitive market.
Use of Funds and Business Model
The fresh proceeds will be used to meet the company's working capital requirements and for general corporate purposes. UniqYou was founded in 2026 and is building a technology-led platform for the women's fashion segment. The company uses artificial intelligence to identify emerging fashion trends and offer relevant products to consumers.
Broader Investor Interest in Fashion
The fundraise reflects sustained investor appetite in India's fashion and apparel startup ecosystem. In 2025, The Bear House raised Rs 50 crore in its Series A round, while Snitch raised Rs 278.9 crore in Series B funding and Miraggio secured USD 6.5 million in Series A capital. The momentum continued into 2026 with MyDesignation raising Rs 40 crore, Alaya by Stage3 securing seed funding, and Theater raising Rs 75 crore in a Series A round led by Niveshaay.
Fashion remains a challenging category for new direct-to-consumer labels because customers make decisions based on look and fit while brands must build inventory before generating revenue. Still, a seed round of this size at a post-money valuation of nearly Rs 64 crore indicates that investors are willing to support new labels with differentiated technology positioning. The test for UniqYou will be to convert its working capital into scalable growth in a competitive market.
UniqYou's Rs 15.8 crore seed round provides it with early financial backing from established institutional investors. The company plans to channel the capital toward working capital and general corporate purposes while expanding its AI-driven women's fashion platform. The investment marks a significant early step for UniqYou as it builds its presence in India's competitive direct-to-consumer fashion industry.
