Senior Sistemas, a leading technology firm specializing in management software, has announced its largest acquisition to date. The company will acquire Salú, an occupational health startup, for R$ 318.7 million, pending regulatory approval. This landmark deal signifies a major strategic push to enhance Senior's Human Capital Management (HCM) portfolio with advanced health and safety solutions.

A Strategic Move in Human Capital Management

The acquisition is designed to strengthen Senior's position in the competitive HCM market by integrating Salú's specialized platform. This move addresses a growing industry trend where companies seek unified systems to manage labor, operational, and health processes. By combining these capabilities, Senior aims to offer a more comprehensive and seamless solution to its extensive client base.

According to CEO Carlênio Castelo Branco, this transaction accelerates a key strategic goal of integrating occupational health into the complete people management journey. He emphasized that this integration delivers operational efficiency, risk reduction, and an improved experience for both HR departments and employees. The ultimate vision is to provide a truly end-to-end HCM offering that meets modern business demands.

Salú's Innovative Approach to Occupational Health

Founded in São Paulo, Salú has distinguished itself by digitizing the traditionally complex field of occupational health and safety. Its Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform automates critical processes, including medical exams, legal compliance programs, and risk management. The company currently serves over 800 clients across all Brazilian states, demonstrating its wide-reaching impact.

Salú's platform manages over 460,000 active lives and has processed more than one million occupational appointments since its inception. This scale has enabled it to return an estimated 300,000 hours to HR teams through automation and process optimization. The company's rapid growth underscores the market's need for modern, data-driven solutions in corporate health management.

Senior's Continued Expansion Through Acquisition

This acquisition is a continuation of Senior's aggressive growth strategy, which has included over 30 acquisitions since 2015. The company consistently seeks to expand its portfolio and regional presence by incorporating innovative firms. Just weeks prior, Senior acquired Forbiz Business Software for R$ 62.1 million, further highlighting its commitment to strategic expansion.

Established in 1988, Senior Sistemas has evolved from a payroll software provider into a comprehensive technology powerhouse. The company now offers solutions in ERP, logistics, and agribusiness, serving over 14,500 clients in Latin America. With a reported net revenue of R$ 1.2 billion in the last fiscal year, Senior maintains a strong financial position for continued growth.

The acquisition of Salú represents a pivotal moment for Senior Sistemas, significantly bolstering its capabilities in the HCM space. By integrating Salú's innovative technology, Senior is poised to deliver enhanced value to its clients through a more holistic and efficient management ecosystem. This strategic union is set to redefine the standards for integrated people management and corporate well-being in the market.
