Redacto, an AI-native privacy and data governance platform, has announced the appointment of Jaya Krishna as its new Chief Business Officer. This strategic hire comes at a critical time as Indian enterprises prepare for the impending Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act. Krishna is set to lead the company's end-to-end business development and digital marketing functions to drive enterprise adoption of its specialized solutions.
Strategic Leadership for a New Regulatory Era
The appointment is timed to capitalize on the accelerating demand for robust privacy infrastructure across India. With the DPDP Act on the horizon, organizations in sectors like BFSI, healthcare, and digital platforms are re-evaluating their data governance frameworks. Krishna’s leadership will be instrumental in positioning Redacto as the go-to partner for navigating these complex new compliance requirements.
In his new capacity, Krishna will be responsible for unifying business development and digital marketing into a single, integrated growth function. His core mission is to deepen enterprise relationships and accelerate the adoption of Redacto’s specialized products, including ConsentY and VendrX. He will work closely with product teams to ensure the go-to-market strategy aligns with the platform's evolving capabilities.
A Veteran in Enterprise Technology
Jaya Krishna brings over a decade of proven experience in building and scaling teams across B2B marketing, content strategy, and business development. He joins Redacto from a leading AI and API security company, where he served as Director of Business Development and Digital Marketing. There, he successfully built the go-to-market function from scratch, driving significant enterprise pipeline growth across North America and India.
His entrepreneurial acumen is highlighted by his founding of Roots Research, a research-focused venture he operated for over a decade. Before that, he contributed to growth and market expansion at Kairos Technologies, an IT consulting firm specializing in digital transformation. This deep expertise in security and enterprise technology makes him a valuable addition to Redacto's leadership team.
Vision for India-Centric Privacy Solutions
According to CEO Amit Kumar, Redacto was built on the principle that Indian enterprises deserve purpose-built privacy infrastructure. He stressed that the platform is architected for India's unique regulatory and operational reality, not simply a retrofitted legacy tool. This India-first approach has been validated by the company's strong early customer traction and market reception.
Jaya Krishna shared his enthusiasm, citing the clarity of the opportunity to address a real, structural compliance gap in the market. He drew parallels to his experience in API security, where he helped enterprises secure previously unknown exposures, viewing privacy as a similarly urgent issue. He affirmed that Redacto's ground-up design for India is its key differentiator and the reason for its success.
The appointment of Jaya Krishna as Chief Business Officer marks a significant milestone in Redacto's journey. His leadership is expected to build a powerful commercial engine that matches the strength of the company's innovative product. This strategic move solidifies Redacto's position to meet the surging demand for data governance solutions as India fully enters the DPDP era.
