AI-native cybersecurity startup Protectt.ai plans to acquire a controlling stake in AIShield, an AI security platform incubated within Bosch Global Software Technologies. Bosch will keep a minority stake after the deal closes. The transaction will combine cash and employee stock options, with future investments tied to business needs.

Deal structure

The deal includes primary and secondary components. The companies have not disclosed the transaction value or timeline. AIShield will operate as an independent entity under Protectt.ai and may raise external funding later.

Company context

Protectt.ai was founded in 2020 by Manish Mimani and Mohanraj Selvaraj. It provides mobile threat defense and compliance tools for businesses. Its security technology runs on more than 1 billion mobile devices and processes 15 billion app sessions monthly.

AI security focus

AIShield was founded in 2022 by Shiv Kumar and Amit Phadke within BGSW. Its software protects machine learning models, generative AI applications, and AI supply chains from attacks. Protectt.ai plans to use the acquisition to expand from mobile security into enterprise AI security.

AIShield currently has around 12 to 15 employees and plans to grow to 50 to 60 people by March 2027. It will hire PhD researchers and other technical talent. Protectt.ai is also exploring further acquisitions in API security and cloud security.
