PeopleX, a Tokyo-based company specializing in AI-driven human resources and sales solutions, has completed a Series A funding round totaling 5.45 billion yen. The financing combines equity through a third party allotment and debt financing, raising cumulative funds since the company's establishment in September 2023 to 7.82 billion yen. The company will use the capital to accelerate product development, national promotion, and sales expansion as it strengthens its path toward an initial public offering.
Funding Details and Investor Base
The Series A round attracted participation from En, Angel Bridge, Open Up Group, WiL, and One Capital. PeopleX stated that the proceeds will fund nationwide promotional campaigns, including television and taxi advertising, as well as new AI product development and personnel costs for a broader sales network. The company described the financing as a foundation for its medium-term management plan, which sets a fiscal 2031 revenue target of 100 billion yen.
Growth Metrics and Client Adoption
PeopleX has steadily expanded its core AI products, notably PeopleX AI Interview, PeopleX AI Roleplay, and PeopleX AI One-on-One. The group now supports more than 3,000 corporate and public sector clients, including Aeon, Seven Eleven Japan, West Japan Railway, and CyberAgent. Annual recurring revenue reached 1 billion yen within 15 months of launch, while net revenue retention exceeded 140 percent and monthly gross revenue churn remained at 0.2 percent.
Platform Expansion and Product Roadmap
The company is moving beyond point solutions with a human resources specific large language model and MotherAI OS Athena, which will serve as the foundation for its AI products. New offerings called Personal Brain, Strategic Brain, and Customer Brain are designed to provide autonomous and context-aware support for employees, HR departments, and customers. PeopleX also announced PeopleX AI Sales and plans to release additional products for marketing, SDR, BDR, and customer success by next spring.
Talent Intelligence and Recruitment Support
In recruitment support, PeopleX introduced AI-based document screening, interview support for later stages, and an AI adoption concierge feature within PeopleX AI Interview. The company also unveiled PeopleX AI Talent Intelligence, which integrates skills, career preferences, academic insights, and public industry data for strategic HR decision making. These additions aim to reduce manual workload in hiring and improve talent visibility from recruitment through evaluation and development.
Global Expansion and M&A Strategy
PeopleX plans to strengthen its overseas presence, with its AI products already used in more than ten countries. The company will station part of its management team in Vietnam and expand across Asia and Oceania, including Taiwan, Indonesia, India, Singapore, and Australia. In parallel, PeopleX aims to complete roughly 20 mergers and acquisitions by 2031, targeting organizational consulting, staffing, HR tech, sales consulting, sales agency, and sales tech firms.
With this Series A round and its new product announcements, PeopleX is accelerating its journey toward an IPO and its fiscal 2031 revenue goal of 100 billion yen. The company says it will combine the fresh capital with existing and new product synergies to maximize revenue and strengthen its management base. PeopleX remains guided by its purpose of facing people and aims to establish itself as a leading AI company in the human resources and sales sectors.
