Mendo, a platform focused on enterprise AI adoption, has secured €12 million in a Series A funding round. The investment was led by Ventech and Educapital, with participation from Tomcat and OVNI. This capital injection will fuel the Paris-based startup's expansion across Europe, aiming to help large companies integrate artificial intelligence effectively.
Addressing the AI Adoption Gap
A significant challenge in the industry is that most AI projects fail to reach full deployment due to poor user adoption. Citing Gartner, Mendo notes that 70% of initiatives stall not because of technology, but because of a lack of integration by teams. The company was founded in 2021 to bridge this critical gap between AI tools and their practical application.
Mendo's SaaS solution integrates directly into daily workplace tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, ChatGPT, and Gemini. The platform guides each employee in adopting valuable use cases, ensuring AI becomes a practical asset. This approach helps organizations maximize their return on AI investments by keeping human users at the center of the transformation.
The Shift to Agentic AI
The emergence of agentic AI marks a new era where artificial intelligence transitions from a simple tool to a core operational system. This technology is no longer about optimizing isolated tasks but about orchestrating entire business operations securely and robustly. Consequently, the primary challenge for businesses shifts from technology implementation to organizational change and process redesign.
Quentin Amaudry, CEO and co-founder of Mendo, highlighted this strategic shift in a recent statement. He explained that AI is becoming the layer that governs company operations, making employee adoption more critical than ever. Mendo's role is to enable this large-scale adoption, ensuring no one is left behind in the transition.
Strategic Growth and Expansion Plans
With the new funding, Mendo will pursue three strategic priorities to scale its operations and impact. The first is to strengthen its analytical layer, providing businesses with clearer insights into their AI usage. This will help identify which AI agents can generate the highest return on investment and measure their adoption impact.
The company also plans to double its workforce from 50 to 100 employees, with a focus on its product, technology, and sales teams. Alongside this internal growth, Mendo will accelerate its commercial deployment across key European markets. This expansion is driven by increasing demand from large organizations seeking support for their AI transformation journeys.
Audrey Soussan, General Partner at Ventech, affirmed that adoption is the primary obstacle for enterprise AI, not budget. She stated that Mendo directly addresses this by managing the entire process from use-case identification to team upskilling. This positioning makes Mendo a crucial missing piece in the European technology landscape that Ventech aims to support.
This €12 million investment marks a significant milestone for Mendo, reinforcing its position as a key player in the AI ecosystem. The funding will enable the company to meet the growing demand for structured AI adoption support across Europe. As businesses increasingly rely on agentic AI, Mendo is well-equipped to help them translate technological potential into tangible business value.
