Info Edge approved the sale of its full stakes in Medcords Healthcare Solutions and Unnati Online for about ₹5,000 each. The Naukri parent also approved an investment of up to ₹150 crore in its wholly owned subsidiary Redstart Labs. The board made the decisions on October 28, 2026.

Sale terms

Info Edge is selling its 14.18% stake in Medcords and its 31.64% stake in Unnati Online. The sales will go through wholly owned subsidiary Startup Investments (Holding) Limited. Buyers include Medcords promoter Shreyans Mehta and Unnati Online promoters Eral Ravi and Aashutosh Chaudhary.

Portfolio context

Info Edge had already written down both investments in full. It recorded the Medcords write-down in fiscal 2024 and the Unnati Online write-down in fiscal 2020. Medcords built a health platform for patients, doctors, and pharmacies, while Unnati Online operated a jobs platform for informal workers.

Redstart Labs investment

Redstart Labs will receive the money through an equity subscription. The infusion will occur in one or more tranches within 18 months. The funds will cover working capital, investment opportunities, and general purposes.

Info Edge expects to enter the sale agreements within 30 days. Both transactions are expected to close by January 27, 2027. The company also reconstituted its audit committee, adding Naresh Chand Gupta effective October 29, 2026.
