Bengaluru-based furniture startup Furnishka is raising Rs 26.8 crore in an extended pre-Series A funding round. The investment has attracted venture capital funds, angel investors, and prominent startup founders. The capital raise reflects growing interest in India's omnichannel furniture retail space and underscores the company's early momentum in a competitive sector.

Funding Structure and Share Allotment

Furnishka has allotted 3,183 preference shares at Rs 84,157 per share to facilitate the capital raise. The transaction appears to be part of a broader funding exercise, with most of the committed money already received and the remainder expected shortly. This structure underscores the company's ongoing effort to strengthen its financial position.

Largest Investors in the Round

Bhaarath Sang has emerged as the largest contributor, investing Rs 10.3 crore. Beenext Asia is putting in Rs 3.35 crore, while Onyx InVen and Amit Jain are each contributing Rs 2.37 crore. Mohit Gupta and Jnabiz Consulting are also participating with commitments of around Rs 2 crore each, reinforcing the round's diverse investor base.

Notable Founder Backing

The round includes personal investments from several well-known startup founders, adding entrepreneurial credibility to the capital raise. PhysicsWallah founders Alakh Pandey and Prateek Maheshwari are investing Rs 1.14 crore each. Udaan co-founder Sujeet Kumar is contributing around Rs 1 crore, while Shantanu Jain and Manish Dugar are investing approximately Rs 94.3 lakh and Rs 15.1 lakh respectively.

Valuation and Total Capital Raised

Entrackr estimates Furnishka's post-money valuation at around Rs 230 crore based on the issue price and share capital. With this latest infusion, the company has raised approximately Rs 70 crore to date. The funding momentum marks a significant milestone and contributes to a larger funding exercise that remains ongoing for the young furniture brand.

Previous Funding History

Furnishka had earlier raised Rs 27 crore in a pre-Series A round led by IndiaQuotient in October 2024. That round also included participation from Sparrow Capital and angel investors such as Udaan co-founder Sujeet Kumar and Ramakant Sharma. The current extension builds on this foundation and brings additional strategic backers into the company.

Business Model and Market Focus

Founded in 2023 by Ganesh Pawar, Furnishka operates an omnichannel furniture retail business. The company integrates online sales with large-format offline stores to reach a wider customer base. Its product portfolio spans living room, dining room, and bedroom categories, with an emphasis on customization and supply-chain efficiencies that support both convenience and experience-led purchasing.

Strategic Significance

The participation of established entrepreneurs and venture funds signals confidence in Furnishka's growth trajectory. The company is positioning itself to capture demand in India's evolving furniture market through a combination of physical experience centers and digital convenience. Continued investor support may help the startup accelerate expansion and refine its operational model.

The extended pre-Series A round highlights Furnishka's ability to attract a diverse set of investors in a competitive consumer market. With cumulative funding of about Rs 70 crore and an estimated post-money valuation of Rs 230 crore, the company has built a solid financial base for its next phase. The fresh capital is expected to support growth initiatives as Furnishka continues to expand its omnichannel footprint.
