Even Healthcare, a subscription-based health services provider, is reportedly in advanced discussions to secure $50 million in a Series B funding round. The round is expected to be led by existing investor Khosla Ventures, valuing the company at approximately $300 million. This new capital injection is earmarked to accelerate the expansion of its hospital and clinic network across India.

Investor Confidence and Valuation Surge

The funding round highlights strong confidence from current backers, with Khosla Ventures reportedly committing $30 million. Other existing investors, including Alpha Wave Global, are also set to participate in this significant capital raise. According to sources familiar with the matter, the deal is in its final stages and is expected to close within a few weeks.

This new investment nearly doubles Even's valuation to $300 million from the $153 million it achieved in its January funding round. Such a rapid increase underscores the market's positive response to the company's innovative healthcare delivery model. To date, the startup has successfully raised a total of $72.5 million across five funding rounds since its inception.

Strategic Expansion and Business Model

The Bengaluru-based company operates on a unique subscription model, offering members access to a wide range of services from consultations to hospital care. This integrated approach aims to provide predictable and comprehensive healthcare coverage for both individual and corporate clients. The platform currently serves tens of thousands of members, primarily in Bengaluru, with a growing national patient base.

A primary use for the new funds will be the expansion of its physical infrastructure, which currently includes one hospital and two clinics. Even Healthcare plans to establish several more hospitals by the end of 2026 to enhance its service delivery capabilities. This network growth is crucial for its strategy of creating a seamless, managed healthcare ecosystem for its subscribers.

Financial Performance and Market Landscape

Financially, the company has demonstrated significant revenue growth, reporting Rs 27 crore in the previous fiscal year. Projections for the current fiscal year estimate revenues could reach between Rs 120-130 crore, indicating rapid business scaling. However, this growth is accompanied by a net loss of Rs 90 crore as the company invests heavily in expansion.

Even's fundraising comes at a time of increased activity in India's healthtech sector, which is benefiting from a growing health insurance market. The company's narrow-network model is part of a larger trend toward managed care solutions aimed at improving quality and controlling costs. This positions it within a competitive but promising landscape for healthcare innovation in the country.

The successful closure of this $50 million round will significantly strengthen Even Healthcare's competitive position in the Indian healthtech market. This investment serves as a powerful endorsement of its subscription-based, integrated care model from its key investors. With this fresh capital, the company is well-equipped to pursue its ambitious expansion and improve healthcare accessibility.
