EOS-X Space has raised US$120 million from Global Emerging Markets. The round values the Spanish space tourism company at US$1.2 billion before commercial launch. The company is preparing dual listings in New York and London.
Funding history
The company closed a US$140 million Series D in May. That brings its total 2026 funding to US$260 million. It has signed Bank of America Merrill Lynch as lead bank for its planned listing.
Company footprint
EOS-X is led by founder Kemel Kharbachi. The company has its base in Abu Dhabi, industrial capacity in the United States, and logistics functions in Spain. It is also developing civil and military satellite programs.
The flight product
The capsules use helium to reach an altitude of about 40 kilometers. Each flight carries eight or nine occupants, including the pilot. A trip costs roughly US$200,000 and lasts around five hours.
Commercial flights are expected before the end of 2026. Operations will start from a US capsule, with European flights from Spain planned for 2027. The company is targeting a US$4.5 billion valuation as the starting point for its listing.
