Enza, a payments infrastructure provider for banks and fintechs across Africa, closed a US$6 million Seed+ round. 4DX Ventures led the funding. British International Investment joined, while Quona Capital and Algebra Ventures increased their existing positions.

Funding history

Quona Capital and Algebra Ventures co-led Enza’s seed round in 2025. Both firms added capital after watching the business develop. British International Investment joined after completing its own investment and ESG due diligence.

Company footprint

Enza serves bank and fintech clients across 12 African countries. The company is headquartered in Abu Dhabi and has offices in Egypt, South Africa, Ghana, and Nigeria. It was founded in 2023 by experienced payments executives.

What banks get

Enza offers a single integration to modern payment rails, card schemes, mobile wallets, and QR codes. Banks keep control of their merchants and data. They pay for the service on a per-transaction basis.

The new capital will fund expansion into more African markets. Enza also plans to secure additional licenses to serve more banks and fintechs. Product development remains a priority under the new funding.
