The Dubai International Financial Centre announced that up to 6,000 Japanese startups can now access its innovation ecosystem directly. The disclosure was made on the second day of the first Dubai Future of Finance Week. The center also said the number of AI, fintech, and innovation companies within DIFC has passed 2,000.

Partnership scope

The partnership gives Japanese startups a route to DIFC's financial institutions, investors, and specialized talent. It supports collaboration, investment, and international expansion. DIFC said the move also builds new economic corridors with emerging markets and the Global South.

Ecosystem growth

DIFC launched its fintech vision in 2016 and followed with a fintech accelerator in 2017. The accelerator started with 11 startups. It has now grown into an integrated ecosystem of innovative companies, financial institutions, investors, and specialists.

Dubai FinTech Stack

DIFC plans to launch a new initiative called Dubai FinTech Stack. The planned stack will provide startup services such as customer onboarding, payments, risk management, financial security, and AI application integration. It is designed to help startups develop and scale commercial solutions faster.

The Dubai Future of Finance Week runs until November 6. Upcoming sessions cover banking excellence, Islamic finance, family wealth management, asset tokenization, and digital assets. DIFC also released the Digital Economy 2.0 report, which expects the global fintech market to reach $1.5 trillion by 2030.
