Carrum Mobility, a B2B fleet management technology platform, has raised $10 million, approximately ₹96 crore, in a Series B funding round led by ride-hailing major Uber. The transaction marks the second tranche of Uber’s investment in the company, following an initial $7 million infusion in January 2026. The newly secured capital is expected to support expansion, technology development, and the growth of premium mobility services across India.
Uber Deepens Its Strategic Partnership
Uber has now reinforced its commitment to Carrum Mobility with a second round of financial support. The company first backed the startup in January 2026 with a $7 million investment, and this latest $10 million Series B tranche signals growing confidence in its business model. Carrum Mobility stated that the partnership is expected to bring more premium vehicles onto Uber’s platform and support the expansion of Uber Black services across Indian cities.
How the Series B Capital Will Be Used
The newly raised funds will be deployed to expand across existing and new geographies while strengthening Carrum Mobility’s technology platform. A portion of the capital will also be directed toward scaling operations, growing the team, and supporting the core mobility business. The company aims to use the investment to deepen its presence in premium mobility and Uber Black offerings throughout India.
Fleet Operations and Market Presence
Carrum Mobility currently operates a fleet of more than 5,000 vehicles across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, and Kolkata. The company has onboarded more than 18,000 driver partners across its network and plans to launch operations in Chennai in September 2026. Its platform focuses on building efficient and sustainable fleet operations through compressed natural gas and electric vehicles.
Profitability and Revenue Momentum
The startup claims to have remained profitable since its first month of operations, a notable position in the mobility sector. It is currently operating at an annualised revenue run rate of approximately ₹400 crore. Carrum Mobility also says it has nearly doubled the scale of its business since Uber’s previous investment, driven by demand for premium mobility solutions.
Leadership Perspectives
Karan Jain, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Carrum Mobility, said the continued investment reflects the business the company has built and the opportunity ahead. He added that the company has nearly doubled its scale since the last funding round while remaining consistently profitable. Aditya Kapoor, Director of Supply at Uber India and South Asia, said Carrum Mobility has demonstrated exceptional execution, operational discipline, and a strong focus on customer experience.
Founder Background and Investor Support
Karan Jain founded Carrum Mobility in 2024 after previously establishing the self-drive car rental startup Revv, which was acquired by CarDekho Group. CarDekho Group is an early equity investor in the startup, while debt investors include Trifecta Capital, Girnar Capital, Shriram Finance, and Northern Arc. This blend of equity and debt backing provides Carrum Mobility with a solid foundation for its next phase of growth.
With Uber’s latest $10 million Series B investment, Carrum Mobility is positioned to strengthen its premium mobility offerings and expand into new cities. The company’s continued profitability, growing fleet, and expanding driver network underscore its operational momentum in a competitive market. As it scales Uber Black services and deepens its technology platform, Carrum Mobility will likely play a more prominent role in India’s fleet management landscape.
