Milan-based cybersecurity startup Bynario announced the closing of its €2.1 million pre-seed funding round on September 10, 2026, led by 360 Capital Partners with participation from PranaVentures. The investment will accelerate development of the company’s AI-powered security platform, expand its engineering team, and support growing demand from enterprises securing increasingly complex software environments. The announcement follows Bynario research using frontier AI models to uncover serious vulnerabilities in Apple operating systems, as reported by the Financial Times in August.

Funding to Scale an AI-Powered Security Platform

Bynario said the new capital will accelerate development of technology that identifies, validates, prioritizes and remediates vulnerabilities from code to cloud. The company is already working with customers across software, cloud and enterprise environments, helping security teams reduce remediation times and improve visibility into software risk. Its platform aims to move organizations beyond isolated vulnerability discovery and toward continuous exposure management.

AI Is Reshaping Offense and Defense

The announcement arrives as artificial intelligence begins to reshape both sides of cybersecurity. Attackers and security researchers can now use frontier models to identify and exploit vulnerabilities at a speed and scale that was previously impossible, while many defenders still rely on manual investigation and validation. Software vulnerabilities remain the most common pathway into enterprise systems, accounting for 31 percent of incidents in Verizon’s 2026 Data Breach Investigations Report.

Research Demonstrated Real-World Impact

In August, Bynario researchers used frontier AI models as part of an offensive security research programme that uncovered serious vulnerabilities in Apple’s macOS Screen Sharing technology. The findings were responsibly disclosed to Apple, which subsequently issued fixes for the affected vulnerabilities. This work demonstrated how AI-assisted security research can dramatically accelerate the process of finding and exploiting previously unknown software flaws.

From Discovery to Continuous Exposure Management

Bynario is building a suite of security products designed to help organizations identify, prioritize and remediate software vulnerabilities at scale. The technology enables security teams to focus on the risks that matter most while reducing the operational burden of securing software from code to production. The company combines deep offensive security expertise with practical product development experience to support continuous exposure management rather than point-in-time discovery.

Enterprise Pressures Are Accelerating

Software development is accelerating as AI tools increase developer productivity and organizations deploy more applications, dependencies and third-party components than ever before. The result is an expanding attack surface and an overwhelming volume of security findings, making it difficult for enterprises to distinguish genuine risk from background noise. Industry analysts estimate that software vulnerabilities continue to grow year over year while the global cybersecurity skills shortage leaves many organizations unable to keep pace.

Investor Support for an Experienced Team

Cesare Maifredi, Partner at 360 Capital, said the firm had known the majority of the founding team for a long time and was deeply impressed by CEO Alfredo Pesoli’s clarity of vision and technical breakthrough. He noted that Bynario’s approach of autonomous vulnerability discovery, validation, prioritization and remediation is what modern cybersecurity needs. COO Giancarlo Russo added that the team includes security researchers, engineers, entrepreneurs and academics who bridge cutting-edge research and practical solutions at scale.

Bynario’s financing round arrives at a time when organizations face mounting pressure to secure software supply chains, cloud-native applications and AI-driven systems. Its emphasis on intelligence-driven vulnerability management positions the company to address speed and scale challenges that traditional security approaches struggle to manage. With fresh capital and early customer traction, Bynario aims to turn advanced security research into practical tools for modern enterprise environments.
