Finland-headquartered cloud data infrastructure company Aiven has officially launched its India operations, aiming to capture rising enterprise demand for AI-ready, cloud-agnostic and open-source data platforms. The company has opened its first India office in Bengaluru, which will also serve as a strategic base for the broader Asia-Pacific region. The formal launch was held in New Delhi on September 24 in association with the Finnish Embassy.

Aiven currently has around 15 employees in India and plans to expand its local workforce as operations grow. Hiring will focus on sales, partnerships, customer success, solutions engineering and other related functions. The Bengaluru team will work closely with Aiven's distributed global workforce while supporting both Indian customers and the company's wider regional objectives across Asia-Pacific.
